VASAVI MUN

The Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) is a principal organ of the United Nations responsible for coordinating international economic, social, and developmental policies. In Model United Nations, ECOSOC provides a platform for delegates to address pressing global issues such as sustainable development, poverty eradication, public health, climate change, humanitarian crises, and international trade. Delegates represent member states and work to build consensus on policies that balance economic growth with social equity and environmental sustainability. The committee emphasizes collaboration, policy-making, and the creation of frameworks that guide global development efforts, encouraging participants to draft innovative, multilateral solutions to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
